Behind the Scenes at Crowned in Confidence

Crowned in Confidence was more than an event. It was an experience designed to shift how women see themselves, their potential, and how we can collectively support one another.

From the beginning, my co-host and I knew we needed something different. Not another networking mixer where business cards are exchanged and conversations stay on the surface. Not another “women’s empowerment” program that talks about confidence without addressing what breaks it.

We wanted to create a space where women could be real. A space where confidence and grace could co-exist. A space where leadership feels authentic and support is tangible.

The Experience

We selected a venue that was elegant but welcoming, beautiful but not intimidating. Every detail was intentional because we wanted women to feel like they belonged, no matter where they were in their journey.

When the day came, something powerful happened. Women from every walk of life gathered, and what emerged was community. Women celebrating one another, creating new pathways, and supporting the impact we collectively have in Tampa Bay.

The Conversations

We talked about confidence, about what breaks it, and how to rebuild it with intention. Our panels were candid and full of truth, covering leadership, grace, resilience, wealth building, and redefining success on our own terms.

Some of the highlights included:

  • Leading with grace without being mistaken for weakness

  • The difference between self-care and self-preservation

  • Building wealth as an act of rebellion

  • Why sisterhood is strategy, not just support

  • Redefining success on your own terms

Spotlight on Impact

We celebrated incredible women and nonprofits making a difference in our community, including Darla Otey of Girls Inc. of Tampa Bay, Jessica Muroff of United Way Suncoast, and Dress for Success Tampa Bay. These moments were powerful not just because of their achievements, but because of their honesty about the challenges behind those successes.

Women shared stories of resilience, setbacks, and perseverance. They reminded us that confidence doe not need to be perfect, it’s about showing up, owning your story, and letting your impact ripple through your community.

Why This Matters

Events like Crowned in Confidence remind me why I chose the path I’m on: to create opportunities that are bigger than ourselves and to commit to spaces where women can show up real, powerful, and supported.

That is the world I’m focused on building…one conversation, one connection, one crown at a time.
